The Body Clinic was founded by Karen Norton in 1985 following her graduation from the Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy in Leeds, where she was proudly awarded Most Promising Beauty Therapist of the Year by Yorkshire Television.
Karen began her career as a mobile beauty therapist, offering treatments across Wakefield, Pontefract, Castleford, and Leeds. Her dedication and passion for exceptional client care led to the opening of her first premises in Pontefract in 1986. Over the years, The Body Clinic has grown from strength to strength, finally finding its permanent home in 2011 at 12 Love Lane, Pontefract — a beautifully renovated salon that reflects Karen’s commitment to quality and comfort.
Today, The Body Clinic offers a wide range of professional treatments, including facials, massage, dermaplaning, micro-needling, hot stone therapy, and more — all designed to help clients look and feel their very best.
The salon also hosts a team of highly qualified professionals. Leanne, a qualified nurse, provides a selection of aesthetic treatments such as dermal fillers, muscle relaxants, Plasma Pen, and Profhilo, available on select days.
